Exam Skills: Evidence-Based Reading & Writing

The Evidence Based Reading & Writing paper comprises two sections: one 65 minute Reading section, and one 35 minute Writing & Language section. These sections test the students’ vocabulary, grammar, syntax, critical thinking, and comprehension. Students will learn the best approaches to these questions, so that they are best able to answer them confidently, and with maximal time efficiency.

Exam Skills: Mathematics

The Mathematics paper contains two sections: maths with a calculator and maths without a calculator. These sections test the students’ ability to compute both theoretically and practically. Students will learn the best approaches to these various types of questions, and how to do so with the best time economy.

Exam Skills: (Optional) Essay

Additionally, the new SAT exam features an optional essay. This essay tests the students’ ability to write with properly developed argumentation, as well as their ability to evidence an advanced understanding of grammar, syntax and cohesion at sentence and paragraph level. Students will learn the best approaches to these various types of questions, so that they are able to accurately answer the various questions in an appropriate time.
