Travel and Transfer

Travel to the UK

Once you have received your booking confirmation, you can start planning your travel arrangements to and from the UK. Your dedicated Parent Liaison will be able to provide guidance on suitable flight times, transfer options and nearby hotels for those parents staying close by.  Please note students’ travel to and from England must be booked and paid for independently.

When booking flights to the UK, the flights should be booked for the stated Arrival Date.

For departure from the UK, flights home should be booked for the stated Departure Date.

Airport Transfer

We offer an Airport Transfer Service for students to and from Heathrow airport and Oxford College Summer School on the published arrival and departure dates for an additional charge.

Our clearly identified representatives will personally meet our new college students in the arrivals hall and will travel with them to their college destination.

For Heathrow flights that arrive 0900-1600, you can use our Coach Transfer Service.

Coach Transfer Service Price per journey
Arrival OR Departure
Heathrow Airport £90 per journey

For flights that arrive outside these times, or at airports other than Heathrow, you will need our Taxi Transfer Service.

Please contact us for a Taxi Transfer quotation and further information if you are considering arriving or departing from another airport.

Welcome Club

For students using the SBC Heathrow Coach Transfer Service, we have a dedicated place for light refreshments, activities and to meet other students before travelling to the college. Depending on timings on the day, Welcome Club may not be necessary and a student may travel on the coach straight away.

Parent Transfer

Alternatively, if parents wish to accompany a student direct to the college, they may do so. Please note there are 2 Oxford College Campuses: St Hugh’s and Wycliffe Hall. You may find campus addresses and arrival times in your Welcome Pack or please ask your Parent Liaison, they will gladly help.
